Advisory to all .IN Domain Name Registrants and Accredited Registrars 

It has come to the notice of NIXI that certain .IN domain names are being offered, listed, promoted, or facilitated for auction and speculative trading through various platforms.

In this regard, all .IN domain name registrants and .IN Accredited Registrars are hereby advised that auctioning, bidding, speculative sale, or facilitation of auction of any .IN domain name is strictly non-permissible and shall be treated as a violation of the applicable .IN Registry policies, terms and conditions, and regulatory framework governing .IN domain names.
 

Accordingly, NIXI reserves the right to take strict action against any domain name, registrant, registrar, or entity found to be involved in such activities, including but not limited to: 

1. Immediate placing of the concerned domain name(s) under “Server Hold”/suspension status without prior notice; 
2. Blacklisting/de-accreditation of the concerned registrant and/or registrar from future registration or related activities under the .IN Registry ecosystem; and 
3. Initiation of any other appropriate legal or regulatory action as deemed necessary by NIXI. 

 
All .IN Accredited Registrars are further directed to ensure strict compliance with this advisory and to refrain from directly or indirectly facilitating any such auction-related activities concerning .IN domain names. 

This advisory shall come into effect immediately.
